Maia has worked across various sectors and has written extensively on issues around AI governance and safety, platform regulation, and content moderation. She was Director of Research and Public Policy at Centro Latam Digital in Mexico, Public Policy Advisor at Wikimedia Argentina, and Google Policy Fellow at Public Knowledge among other relevant positions in the field.
Maia holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, a Master's in Public Policy from Universidad Torcuato Di Tella in Argentina, and a Law degree from the same university.
